Lawn Mowing done right in Hamilton
Hamilton’s split elevation changes how a lawn should be mown. Below the escarpment, the older lots in Westdale, Kirkendall, and the North End sit on humid, lake-influenced clay where cutting too short invites fungal disease, so we keep blades sharp, raise the height through July and August, and clear every clipping off your walks so air moves through the canopy. Up on the Mountain, exposed turf dries faster, and a slightly longer cut shades the soil and holds colour between visits.
Every Hamilton mowing visit includes line-trimming around beds, trees, and fences, crisp edging along driveways and walks, and a full blow-down so nothing is left on hard surfaces. We run set routes across the city, so your cut lands on a predictable day and your property always looks deliberately kept rather than occasionally tidied.

How short should my Hamilton lawn be cut in summer?
In the humid lower city we keep summer cuts on the longer side to shade the soil and discourage the fungal disease that thrives in scalped, damp turf. On the drier Mountain we also favour a longer cut to hold moisture. Either way, we never remove more than a third of the blade in one pass.
